Pop That

Photos by Imelda, over at Sunset Shutter Bug blog. Pictures taken on location in the The Sunset District.

I've been on a neutral phase this winter. Not with just colors, but with my over all wardrobe I guess. Simple is more, at times.  And plus, the weather has been amaze-balls in San Francisco recently (OOPS, sorry bout it,  NYC Juno victims), but wearing any sort of bright pops of colors in the winter just seems odd to me, regardless with the sun out. However, I do love the pop of color in this mural. I love it! The San Francisco Skyline, the pop of color, and all that.

Keith Haring - The Political Line

Hey guys! First off, Happy 2015! Is it to late to be wishing people that? I know we're already 23 days into the new year and all. I don't think I've taken this long to update my blog before! Well, to give you  a quick update of my last post back in November, unfortunately the hunt is still on for me to land a position into a new career field, more specifically into the Merchandising/Buying side of retail. BUT, new year, new opportunities right? I'll keep you guys posted on that.

The other day, I made my way to the de Young Museum with my friend Cana Klebanoff to check out the Keith Haring The Political Line exhibit. There's something about Haring's work that embodies the 1990's, and I remember his colorful work growing up.

Haring's sketch book of Manhattan Penis Drawings for Ken Hicks. So. Much. Cock. His work was very conscious of HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 80's as well, more specifically his Silence = Death work... Which is still relevant today in 2015.

Keith's "Self Portrait". Looking at actual photos of him in the 80's, such cute hipster boy. The exhibit is currently running until February 16th, 2015 - so there's still plenty of time to check it out. Definitely worth a visit!

Hopefully by my next update, I'll be telling you guys about this amazing new job I just landed! Till next time, bye!
