Hey dudes. I know its been a minute since I've posted. I'll be back soon, promise. I'm currently in the process of trying to do a career change, so a lot of my time these last 2 months have been focused on trying to transition into a different field of work... Hence the reason for the lack of updates here, and also on my Instagram/other social media accounts.

I've been in the talks with Imelda over at SunsetShutterBug about shooting new material, and I also have material from the past that I still haven't posted yet... So believe me when I say this hiatus isn't by choice, but kind of mandatory for me.

Hopefully something works out in the near future for myself, but in the mean time all of my time and energy will be focused on the job hunt! So keep your fingers crossed for me, and I'm looking forward to coming back soon! Toodles!

Mr. Rogerin' On Em

Got on my Mr. Rogers steez by dusting off this old cardigan from the back of my closet last week. Our Indian summer is slowly dying down, so that means I get to slowly start layering my clothes the farther we get into fall. But in all honesty, the weather here in San Francisco is pretty constant through out the year, so layering isn't something you really have to wait till fall/winter to do. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

When Seed Store in the Inner Richmond open up its doors a couple years ago, I would poke in every now and then when I lived in the area. Now that it's a bit farther from where I live now, I make sure to stop in whenever I happen to be in the neighborhood. I found this Map Tote bag there with a pretty accurate map of San Francisco. You know, in case I get lost. Imelda has a tendency to stumble upon these random murals through out the city, this one being around her block. It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, for sure.

Modern Furnishing

Stopped by the Contemporary Jewish Museum a couple weeks ago to check out their current exhibition Designing Homes: Jews and Midcentury Modernism. In a nutshell, the exhibit outlined the history of Jewish architects, designers, and artists in the 1930s-40s and their contribution to modern architecture and design.

I always kind of had an interest in modern design because I find the shapes and unique designs to be fascinating on the eye. And also a part of me wants my entire apartment furnished with the pieces in this exhibit. This was actually my first time checking out the CJM, and it's worth a visit if you have a couple hours to spare and are in Downtown SF. Be sure to check out the exhibit before it closes out on October 6th!

Back To No School

Hey guys, sorry for the leave of absence I recently took. I spent an entire 2 weeks over on the East Coast hanging out in Washington D.C. and visiting family in Virginia. I'm officially back in San Francisco now (for about a week and a half, actually) and it's been hell trying to get back into the swing of things. I for real need a vacation from my vacation. Who wants to fund it?

So we are officially into September, which means back to classes from a lot of college students. I graduated from SFSU years ago, so that statement doesn't apply to me anymore. Shout out to all the college kids trying to earn a degree though. As corny as it may sound, I actually kind of miss going to college and the school work to accompany it.

Spent the day hanging out with Imelda at South Park, a little neighborhood I had no idea existed tucked away in the SoMa area. It kind of reminded me of a neighborhood you would see on the East Coast, with all the trees lined up through out the sidewalks, along with the large park area that is in the center of the neighborhood. Discover something new here everyday.

My canvas Fossil backpack has been pretty much my favorite city bag the last 2 months. I don't know... I just like the vintage look of canvas with the leather trimming. It's also gives me a nostalgic feeling of when I was back in college and would drag 5 tons worth of books in my bag from class to class. Now, it just holds my city essentials from traveling between mine and Cody's apartment.

The start of September actually signifies San Francisco's 30 days of summer. September is actually the hottest month here in SF. So not going to put away my tank tops and coochie cutters away just yet. It's about to get real hot in the City by the Bay :).

Draw Me

Received this fashion illustration that Vancouver based artist Jason, of, sketched of me a couple weeks ago. I love how stylish and fun his illustrations are, and he manages to catch everyone's outfits that he sketches out perfectly. So talented.

I've actually been meaning to post it up earlier, but I'm currently in the Washington D.C./Virginia area for a semi quick trip (2 weeks considered quick?) visiting family and such. It’s been nice getting out of San Francisco a bit, and great fun exploring/doing not so familiar activities at the moment. Surprisingly, I went fishing today. I mean, really? I baited the hook myself too. #CountryRealness

Thanks for the illustration, Jason! Check out more of Jason's work on his site for daily outfit posts and other fashion illustrations like these.  Also follow him on his instagram and twitter RunJaceRun for more updates from Jason himself. See you guys when I get back!

Skies Out, Thighs Out

Took these photos some odd weeks ago with Imelda. Obviously it wasn't any time this past week given that San Francisco's ugly August weather has been forcing me to layer up quite a bit. Not to mention the strong winds has been messing up my up-do.

I got into a conversation with Cody about the expansion of SF, and how it seems to be becoming another desirable city to move to, right beside NYC and LA. I mean, there was 2 recent blockbuster movies out this summer that took place in San Francisco (Planet of the Apes, and Godzilla)... and not so long ago, Dwayne Johnson was filming scenes from his up coming movie here, and Terminator 5 (who knew there was a part 4??) was being filmed here as well. When Hollywood steps in, that has to mean something, right?

Actually, the fact that the SoMa area is always under construction is a clear sign that SF is expanding... not outwards, but upwards. Every time when I pass by the area, it seems like some new building project is going on, and something is always being knocked down or renovated. I wonder how the City by the Bay will look 10 years from now... or how much more populate it will be.

Unbothered Or Nah?

Hiiyyeee! Had one of those ain't worried about nothin' √† la French Montana type of weekends. Which could be why I'm in such a good mood for a Monday. Ha! Spent the weekend playing with baby nieces at the beach, watched a screening if Clueless at Dolores Park, spent quality time with my boyfriend... I mean, what is there to be worried about?

I received a gift card courtesy of a couple weeks ago, and this pocket square was one of the 4 items I chose from their collection of menswear accessories. In all honesty, a simple pocket square is the oldest trick in the book to give your outfit a pop of color or a way to tie your entire look together. I like to wear them casually, with a simple cotton blazer, and a pair of colored chinos.

Thank you for the gifts. Everyone make your way over there for a mass collection of menswear accessories to add into your wardrobe.

In other news, how many of you guys heard Beyoncé's Flawless Remix featuring Nicki Minaj? #Fiyah right? It's getting me pumped for Bey and Jay's On The Run Tour tomorrow here in San Francisco... See you there, Booshes!

Snatch Up: Riccardo Tisci x Nike

I'm soooo 2000 and late! There has been some buzz over a collaboration with Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci and Nike, having the head of the French fashion house design a pair of classic Air Force Ones (remember that song?) premiering a little over a week ago on July 17th.

Annnnd of course I made a visit to and a couple hours late, noticing that they've all sold out. And now I can't find them anywhere! Hence the reason why they're on this edition of Snatch Up. Guess I won't be stepping in my Aurrr Force Onezz *Nelly voice* anytime soon. Toodles, Booshes!

Spent the afternoon in Japan Town with Imelda the other day doing… uh… typical stuff people visiting Japan Town do? Like grab some snacks at Nippon Ya? Look inside Daiso for knick knacks we don’t need? Get boba from inside the Japanese mall? That’s what people do in Japan Town, right? Whatever. Honestly, I just wanted to grab a bite to eat and people watch by the pagoda outside in the square.

So I use to lovvveeee having lunch in Japan Town since my old job was located right across the street. It was just nice getting outside the office for a bit and get some fresh air. Guess the was another reason why I wanted to shoot some material for the blog here… I kinda miss doing that.

Pretty much ridic that I’m layering so much in the middle of July, no? There’s San Francisco weather for you. Lack of distinct seasons, and unpredictable brisk weather in the middle of summer. Oh well, still kawaii though. Ha, thanks Gwen Stefani for teaching me something during your L.A.M.B. days.

I'm out that J-Townnnnn, coming coming downnnnn... I'm coming down, dripping candy on the grounndd - #BeyonceVoice. By the way, if you’ve never had takoyaki balls before, you kind of need to add it to your list of foods to try out. They’re hella amazing. And pretty sure you can get them at any Japanese establishment. Till next time, Booshes.
