Took these photos some odd weeks ago with Imelda. Obviously it wasn't any time this past week given that San Francisco's ugly August weather has been forcing me to layer up quite a bit. Not to mention the strong winds has been messing up my up-do.
Photos by Imelda, over at
Sunset Shutter Bug blog. Pictures taken on location in the
SoMa District.
I got into a conversation with Cody about the expansion of SF, and how it seems to be becoming another desirable city to move to, right beside NYC and LA. I mean, there
was 2 recent blockbuster movies out this summer that took place in San Francisco (
Planet of the Apes, and
Godzilla)... and not so long ago, Dwayne Johnson was filming scenes from his up coming movie here, and
Terminator 5 (who knew there was a part 4??) was being filmed here as well. When Hollywood steps in, that has to mean something, right?
Actually, the fact that the SoMa area is always under construction is a clear sign that SF is expanding... not outwards, but
upwards. Every time when I pass by the area, it seems like some new building project is going on, and something is always being knocked down or renovated. I wonder how the
City by the Bay will look 10 years from now... or how much more populate it will be.
