My Favorite New Accessory

Hey guys and gals. At last I've arrived to Vietnam. After a measly 21 hours worth of travel time (including that 3 hour lay over I had in Tai Pei), I can say I'm enjoying my time here in Vietnam... Ho Chi Minh City to be exact. Oh yeah, I've found myself a new accessory here, that I've been rocking everyday.

Do you love it? I'm giving Yoanna House from America's Next Top Model Cycle 2  a run for her money. I did it better, of course.

Joking aside, it was definitely a culture shock once I first arrived... Long ways home from San Francisco. But after the initial shock, I've grown accustomed to the lifestyle here within a day or so. Ho Chi Minh City (a.k.a. Saigon) is really a bustling and gritty city. There's always something going on and people are ALWAYS out and about and always on the go. My type of city.

Did I mention the food here is amazing? Vietnamese food has always been my favorite (I'm bias, I was raised on it), so I'm pretty much in food heaven here. I'm going to have to do a food post next. Here's what I had the other day:

Fried fish topped with cilantro/green onions/peanuts, with a peanut sauce, fresh veggies, noodles, wrapped in rice paper. One word: AMAZING! Expect me to be 10 pounds heavier when I get back to San Francisco.

Vietnamese coffee. Definitely shittin' all over Starbucks. Sorry, Starbucks :(

By the way, here's Mama Kardashnguyen... Also known as my Mommy Dearest :), minus the cruelness of Joan Crawford.

Everyone in Saigon rides a motorbike/moped/bicycle as their main form of transportation, so of course it's no different for me. Besides, I get to wear my favorite new accessory :).

Hope everyone is enjoying the first week of 2013 as much as I am. I'm leaving to My Tho (another city 2 hours away from Saigon) tomorrow. I'll chat with you lovelies later :). Toodles!
