Happy Birthday, Amuuuurica

Happy July!!! The 4th of July always seemed to mark the midway point of summer for me. I remember being younger during summer vacation and realizing that my summer break was half over once July 4th hit. This year I decided to actually make an effort to see the fireworks up close and personal, so I headed to Pier 39.

Of course I had to throw on my Givenchy designed American flag, courtesy of Around the Bay Gal Xtine. Had to get festive with it.

I haven't visited Fisherman's Wharf in a hot minute. It's one of those so called "no no" places to go if you live in San Francisco because it's heavily populated with tourists. But why not? I've never been on the 4th, neither has my boyfriend.

Remember the Bush Man who use to scare people for spare change? What ever happen to him? Supposedly he makes 60,000 a year doing his little stint. I was looking for him, but he was no where to be found.

Obviously, the Fisherman's Grotto isn't the ideal place to get a bowl of clam chowder if you live in San Francisco. Still waiting for a time to grab a bowl at Swan Oyster Depot in Nob Hill... I heard it's amazing. But there's something about getting clam chowder at Fisherman's Wharf that reminds me of visiting the Wharf when I was younger.

Happy 4th!
