Paris By Night

How fierce are these dancers? Beyonce, Gaga, and Britney need to watch out, these boys are looking to steal your spot. Spent my last couple nights checking out the night life here in France. It was fun seeing a different side of Paris, for sure.

Had a great time in Paris, but am exited to be head back home to San Francisco. I'm currently at the CDG airport. Excuse me as I board my plane. Till next time, Paris!

Paris Spooking Me Out

Pere La Chaise Cemtery. Oscar Wilde's grave:
Side note: I'm posting videos is because I don't have access to a computer to upload pictures here in Paris! So I'm just posting these little videos in the meantime, which I'm just recording through my phone. Ahh, technology. Amazing, huh? Toodles, y'all!

This Is Me Getting My P. Diddy On

True Pisces here. I love being around water. Made a trip to Cassis, a Mediterranean Coast town. I fell in love with it immediately. I'll be moving there to retire.

Picture perfect. Picture perfect. Picture perfect.

Rock climbers. With no climbing equipment in sight (from what I can see). Girl, they cray-cray.

Cruising the Mediterranean Coast. Where's my glass of bubbly? "Take that, take that" *Diddy voice*

Taking a train to Paris tomorrow :).

Out And About The Town

Yesterday was a festival here in Aix called Journees du Patrimoine. It's basically a weekend festival where the entire city open buildings to the public (which they wouldn't generally do on a normal day) and you get to just explore. I've been spending a lot of time make day trips out of Aix, so this was a perfect time to get acquainted with the city a little more.

Hotel de ville (Town Hall center). Love the picture of Naomi with the umbrella!

Doll house. Checking some things out in the Vieil Aix Museum, as well as checking myself out in that antique mirror I found in the museum.

In the Cathedrale Saint-Sauveur. The dim lighting was making me doze off a little. That was fixed from the loud organ playing. Woke me right up.

It wouldn't be a complete NoShookHands post without posting some sort of food, right? This is a croque monsieur. Basically a ham and cheese sandwich that's deep fried. I know, right? You'll either love it or hate. I've been eating like there's no tomorrow here. I'll need to go on a diet when I get back to San Francisco. WHEN I get back :).

1 Day, 3 Villages

French macroons. Ooooooo gurrrrllllllllll.

A picture of a Chateau de Lourmarin. A.k.a. my house. And this is before one of those pumpkins in the back turned into a carriage to whisk me away.

A couple days ago we made our way up north to check out some of the local villages around. We stopped by 3 villages: Lourmarin, Bonnieux (pictured above), and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. They were all unique in their own way, one being in a valley, one being perched on the side of a mountain, and another on a river bank. Not to mention I went to the local farmers market here in Aix in the morning. Oh, you can just call me Belle, from Beauty and the Beast from now on.

Moi in the town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

View from the river banks during dinner. Lovely. Just lovely.

I experienced rain for the first time here in France. We used the glasses to catch the rain (picture above), that rain was not playing! The rain actually smelled soooo good though. And it started pouring while we were having dinner on the river banks of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. A lil water ain't hurt nobody.

I'll be making my way to Paris in a couple days! I'm really excited for that. I love Provincial France, but I think it may be time for a change scenery soon! City of Light, imma comin'! Au revoir!

My Life In The Last 30 Hours

Overhead view from my flight from Paris to Southern France. Pretty, huh?

French pastries for breakfast the next morning? Yes please. FYI: we got the butter croissant, chocolate croisant, raspberry tart, and an apple tart pastry :).

In the garden of the house I am staying at. Having those pastries for breakfast is quite lovely with this view.

Yes girl, we drivin' in France, ya'll! On the way to the countryside.

Stopping for lunch in a quaint restaurant on the way to Northern France for the counrtyside. The food here is fab! Expect me to be a little chubbier when I get back home to San Francisco.

Roman ruins Glanum, in Provence St. Remy, also known as the place Van Gogh painted Starry Night.

A top a chateau overlooking Les Baux, a mountain side village.

Hey guys! If you didn't know already, I am currently in France, Aix en Provence to be exact! NoShookHands is outta San Francisco and overseas, ya'll! France is lovely, I wouldn't mind staying here for longer. The food is awesome, the weather is great, the clothes are fabulous, the people are cute. Can't complain!

I originally wanted to do video blogs for my trip, but I have been having trouble doing so. I'll try again soon. And I will be in Paris in a couple of days. It is currently 1am here (can't sleep!), and I really need to head to bed... going to the Mediterranian Coast tomorrow in Southern France. Ugh. Such a horrible life. [/sarcasm]... Till next time. Au revoir!
