Happy 4th of July! Today the weather was lovely (a.k.a. not rainy) and I got a chance to catch some vitamin D outside. Unfortunately, I didn't attend any barbeque's (which seems to be the staple of every Independence Day), however, I did get to do one of my all time favorite activities... people watch.
Dolores Park was packed with people, as it would be on any given sunny day. Which is always the best environment to get your people watching on. The Beat Feet Orchestra were by far my favorite people I... err... watched? Anyways, not only were they awesome and entertaining, but they're talented and their music is catchy!
No BBQ necessary when Kasa's Indian Eatery to go is in hand. Basmati rice, lamb curry, chicken tikka, aloo jerra, daal, and veggie salad.
Summer time activities: hula hooping and double dutch.
Dance party, anyone?
Of course it wouldn't be a 4th without fireworks, right? Most of the crowd left the park when night came, but there was a good amount of people still out enjoying the light show. I came back just in time to catch the last couple fireworks to be set off. So lets cue in Katy Perry's single right about... NOW! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
