You Spin Me Right Round

I relived my high school adolescence again by going to prom this past weekend. An 80's prom, I mean. Funny thing is, I feel like this is how my prom should've been like. Spiked punch with an 80's cover band. What more could you ask for?

I've never seen so many ruffles, crimped hair, and shoulder pads in one room in my life. The Mezzanine hosted an 80's prom event where side pony tails were IN, and anything past 1989 was OUT. Being the sucker I am for tacky themed parties, I knew I had to attend (like I've mentioned before... Halloween is my favorite time of the year).

By the way, If your high school experience was like a real life Sixteen Candles, what role would you play?

The snobby rich girl?

The senior class douche bag?

The school's nerd with the popular party girl.

The Nu Wave kid?

Can I just say that I am in LOVE with Around the Bay Gal Xtine's dress/entire look? She thrifted the dress and borrowed her mom's vintage earrings, which are actually from the 80's. My mom's prime was in the 70's, so I really couldn't dig in her closet for anything good.

So it's been decided that next year I will be going as Madonna from Desperately Seeking Susan. Done and done.
