I was being a chubs at Fort Mason this past weekend. "Off The Grid" is every Friday, where about 12-15 different "gourmet" food trucks (which seems to be the biggest trend in the food world right now) congregate at Fort Mason and people just... eat. All evening. It's amazing.
My favorites, everyone should try them asap:
Cali Dog - Hot dog with roasted seaweed, Japanese mayo, teri-onion sauce, and chili.
Argentine empanadas, preferably the mushroom empanada.
Chairman Bao - pork belly with pickled daikon, duck confeit with mango, and red seasame chicken, on a steamed bun.
Excuse me as I skip dinner for the next month now.
