Hi from sunny San Diego :). I’m currently down south for the much needed holiday weekend and it feels oh-so-good. I haven’t even been here for a full day yet and I’m already having a blast… Adios concrete city, hello hot beaches.
A couple weeks ago, Jacquelynne mentioned that the Thread Show was happening next to the San Francisco Design Center in SOMA. Considering I spend more money shopping for clothes than shopping for groceries, I decided to check it out… Who needs to eat anyways, right?
Think of the Thread Show as a flea market full of clothes, accessories, and art. A shopaholic’s dream, I’m sure. And luckily for me, I went with 4 shop addicts ready to get their fix. There were also 2 fashion shows sponsored by SF’s own 7x7 Magazine. I totally missed it though.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find any threads at the show, but I did score this awesome ring. The lady I bought it from designs all types of bracelets and rings and vendors them out to Barneys and Bloomingdales and such. Buying straight from the designer = $120 bracelet for $20 = Major savings = happy customers.
Other happy customers: Kit, Jonathan, Jacquelynne, Addy.
Happy July 4th weekend, everyone! I’ll be catching some San Diego rays tomorrow at the beach while listening to Katy Perry’s “California Gurls”… Oh, did I say that out loud?
