Xmas Exploded All Over City Hall

View from the SF Opera House steps. Who's ready for Christmas? I think City Hall is, don't you agree? Merry Christmas Eve's Eve!

Learning Is...

... Fundamental.

Haven't been to the Exploratorium in ages. Why is it so dark in there? Anyways, fun and cheap way to spend a rainy afternoon, especially if you like touching things like I do.

Love the exhibits, didn't love the plethora of sick, germ-infested children around. Hint: go on a weekday!

On The 12th Day Of Xmas

I went to see The Nutcracker for the first time. With Carrie. This is Carrie:

"Oh we fancy, huh? Oh we fancy, huh? Nails done, hair done, everything did!".

She was utterly shocked that I never been to the ballet, so she got us tickets to see The Nutcracker a couple nights ago. How fitting, with Christmas being a week away and all. Oh yeah, and here are Carrie's adorable red Mary Janes. How festive, right??

It was also my first time inside San Francisco's Opera House. Lovvviinnnggg the architecture of the building. I'm going to have my wedding in there one day, I swear.

I loved everything about the show! The dancing, the set design, the costumes, the lead dancer who played the Prince who I'm going to marry and have a wedding with in the SF Opera House while fake snow is falling from the ceiling just like in the show as we're exchanging our vows. Opps, did I say that out loud?

Christmas is in 10 days! Have you seen The Nutcracker yet?

Cold Chillin' Like A Snowman

Irene Fieks did it again, ya'll.

Ms. Fieks (from Chillin' Productions SF) hosted another party at her Wonderland Boutique in the Mission, this time featuring local Bay Area art work. I enjoyed the last time I attended one of her store events, so I decided to go to see what other goodies I can find in her boutique. And to check out some art too, duh.

Goodies I found: neck wear from Gytha Mander (same designer who made my holster bag HERE). Which one to choose from... Decisions, decisions.

Irene and her husband Houston with some artwork featuring their adorable daughter. I have yet to check out a Chillin' Production event, must do that soon. Check out Wonderland Boutique on 24th and Harrison.

American Cupcake, American Obesity

Scratch everything I said in my last post.

Because I don't see myself getting Beyonce-fied as long as there are places like American Cupcake around. But really though? Cupcakes, champagne, and good company? It's worth staying chubby for. I looovvveeeee my Cary Lane shirt I bought this past week. His store is one of my favorite shopping spots here in San Francisco, so that is saying a lot. Side note: how cute does Around The Bay Gal Xtine look in her black and white mod dress? Loves her.

Check out American Cupcake in the Marina. Even their lighting look like cupcake sprinkles.

This Is Me Being Active

Thanksgiving just passed and Christmas is around the corner. You know what that means. Spring break is creeping upon us. Okay, so it’s not for a couple good months, but I really do not want to be the Arethra Franklin in a room full of Beyonces when the time comes.

That is when Mission Cliffs on Harrison and 19th comes to the rescue. In attempts to get my Sporty Spice on, I recently took up rock climbing to get my muscles rock solid. I DESPISE going to the gym, so I thought this would be a fun alternative to working out. And it totally is. Go me!

By the way, I didn't fall off the edge of the world. Basically dropping my laptop off my bed has caused it to break, leaving me computer-less till now. I'm using a temporary laptop at the moment... Anyone want to buy me a MacBook Pro in the mean time?

Do You Remember Your First Time?

No matter if it was good, bad, or even a little awkward, everyone remembers their first time. Ah yes… the first time. Being that I lost mine about a week ago, a couple days prior to Halloween, loosing my virginity is something that I still remember clearly...

... My Rocky Horror virginity, that is. Because lets be real - If Britney Spears’ baby sister had a baby a year after her, then I haven’t had my V-Card for a good couple years.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show plays once a month at the Clay Theatre in the Fillmore area, and the show has been in its 35 years of showing. I’ve always wanted to go, and couldn’t think of a better time then the week of Halloween.

I’ve been marked a virgin! If you have never seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show in an actual theatre, you’re dubbed a “virgin”. Think of it as the exact opposite of the Scarlet Letter. Instead of being out casted for being a skank, you’re out casted for not being a skank. Loves it.

Live performances along with the movie.

If you’ve never been, it’s totally worth going to, especially because of the audience participation. What audience participation? You’ll have to go and find out yourself... it’s part of loosing your virginity ;).

Incase You've Been Living Under A Rock

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants who won the World Series yesterday!

Front page of the city's very own SF Chronicles. It's amazing how much excitment and energy there was through out the city today, not to mention the street clebrations happening all over the various neighborhoods last night.

I'm glad I got to go to my first Giants game this season, can't wait for next season to start... I guess there's a reason why October is known for orange and black!

November 1st, 2010 - Where were YOU when the Giants won?

A Tea Party Night

If I could, I'd dress like a character from Alice In Wonderland everyday. But for now, I'll opt for dressing like one on Halloween.

Touching into my inner Grace Jones.

Special thank you to Billy for making my March Hare ears, which pretty much made the costume! I had a blast wearing this outfit. Nothing like Halloween in San Francisco.

We Like The Jets... The Jets That Go Boom

What is the best thing about Fleet Week in San Francisco? Okay, if you're counting the sailor boyzz (yes, with 2 z's) that are roaming all over the city as the best thing, what would be the second best thing? The air show, of course.

So I sort of failed in my attempts to find a decent place to check out the Blue Angels. My thinking was to find a hill... any hill. Which I did. Bernal Heights. But considering the fact that Bernal Heights is pretty much on the opposite side of the air show, and also the fact I'm far sighted (sans my glasses that day), all I really saw were dots moving fast.

But the 360 degree view of the city definitely made up for. Consider this place added as a spot to take my mom the next time she comes to visit her son. I'll be better prepared next year... You know, make sure I get close enough to actually make out what the airplanes look like.

Pride Made Its Way To Mickey Mouse

Looks like the gayness of Pride month in June made its way to the happiest (and for this pass weekend, the gayest) place on earth. Disneyland never had an official “gay day”, but for the last 15 years, [gay] Disney fanatics organized an “unofficial” gay day at the theme park, which always turns out pretty successful every year.

Sea of red by the Enchanted Tiki Room. Since there isn’t an official “Gay Day” at Disneyland, people wear red to show their pride. I’ve never seen so many people wearing so much red in my life.

The Haunted Mansion changed it’s theme to the Nightmare Before Christmas. Jon and I were completely spooked out, if you couldn’t tell. I’m not really a Disney fanatic, but I love how you always get that feeling of being a kid once you step into the park. And with the current Halloween theme going on right now (Halloween being my favorite holiday), only added onto the feeling.

Even at 90 miles per hour, Jon and I were still able to give you couture model shots.

Now back to reality of work, paying rent, and other important duties you’re faced with as an adult. Ugh.
